The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G, which debuted in early 2021, has since been replaced by the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G. The latter, however, had a significantly higher £299 initial price. The Galaxy A32 is still a viable option given that Samsung and numerous independent merchants continue to sell it brand-new.

It’s got an all-plastic body and a shiny glass-effect plastic back that proves to be a total fingerprint magnet, especially in the Awesome Black shade of my test unit. Consider going with a lighter shade like Awesome Violet or Awesome White if you want to avoid having to look at your own grease all the time.
Its reliable, understated design demonstrates Samsung's expertise in producing phones. With a refreshing sense of understatement that many of Samsung's louder budget rivals should learn from, everything is in its own place. Here, you won't find any tacky slogans or bizarre go-faster stripes.
The A32 5G's dimensions are noticeably less modest, being a substantial 9.1mm in thickness and 205g in weight. Surprisingly heavy for a phone made entirely of plastic.
The 6.5-inch screen of the Galaxy A32 5G is unquestionably the poorest component of the overall design. It absolutely lacks inspiration in every manner, from its inferior 720 x 1600 (HD+) resolution to its IPS LCD panel's lack of rich colors. Even the refresh rate, which is only available at 60Hz, is subpar.
This IPS LCD panel's quality is excellent for what it is, with sufficient brightness and respectable color accuracy. But almost all of its competitors just offer a superior audiovisual experience. Better is now something we expect.

Samsung equipped their budget phone with four camera sensors, but only two of them are useful. Both an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 48MP wide sensor are included. A 2MP depth sensor and a 5MP macro take up the other two slots.
Only 4GB of RAM is available on the MediaTek Dimensity 720 chip that powers the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G. Even at this price, the setup is not the luckiest.
This is evident from the phone's average Geekbench 5 single-core score of 415 and multi-core score of 1625, which places it behind devices like the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G and the Realme 9 5G, all of which feature Qualcomm's more popular Snapdragon 695 processor.

We’ve mentioned how the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G’s limited display is a double-edged sword when it comes to performance, but that also applies to its stamina.
It will take some time to fully recharge the Galaxy A32 5G, though. Even though Samsung includes a 15W charger, which is more than it offers with its flagship models, it still lags far behind its more cheap competitors.
From empty, it takes around an hour to reach 50%, and it takes about 2 hours 15 minutes to reach 100%. The 33W charger makes the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G reach full power an hour faster.
